Why I'm Running

For me, everything begins with being a mom. As a proud mother of five, I know the challenges families face every day... and I know how important it is to have leaders who truly listen and put families first. I’ve lived in Blaine for 18 years, and this community is where I’ve built my family, my businesses, and my service.

I started my career as a small business owner more than 20 years ago, creating jobs and learning firsthand how government decisions impact working families and entrepreneurs. Today, I also serve as your Ward 2 Councilmember, and I’ve been honored to work on issues that directly affect our neighborhoods like strengthening public safety, keeping School Resource Officers in our schools, and supporting policies that help families and businesses thrive.

My service extends beyond City Hall. I’m a member of the Mary Ann Young Senior Advisory Board, the Blaine Economic Development Authority Board, and the Centennial High School Breakfast Club Board. I also work as a substitute teacher, which gives me a front-row seat to both the promise and the challenges in our schools. I believe in focusing on core academics, keeping politics out of the classroom, and ensuring parents always have a voice in their children’s education.

I’m running for the Minnesota House because we need leaders who will restore trust in government, fight waste and fraud, and make sure every tax dollar is spent wisely. We need representatives who put people ahead of politics and work toward real results for our communities.

I will bring a mom’s common sense, a businesswoman’s accountability, and a councilmember’s experience to the legislature. I’m ready to serve with integrity and fight for safe communities, strong schools, economic opportunity, and a government that earns your trust.
